Terms of Use

These Terms apply when you use CSV Transaction Cleaner, a free browser-based utility for preparing CSV transaction data for import into accounting software. The Privacy Policy is a separate document that explains local CSV processing and analytics.

Use at your own risk

Use of the service is voluntary and at your own risk. The service is provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE.” To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, no warranties are made about its accuracy, completeness, reliability, availability, fitness for a particular purpose, or compatibility with any accounting software.

Generated files may contain errors or may not be accepted or interpreted correctly by accounting software. You are solely responsible for reviewing and verifying every generated file before importing it or relying on it. Keep backups of your original data.

No professional advice

The service does not provide accounting, bookkeeping, tax, financial, or legal advice, and it does not replace review by a qualified accounting or bookkeeping professional. You remain responsible for your records, filings, and decisions.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the service operator and contributors are not responsible for incorrect, duplicate, or missing transactions; incorrect amounts, dates, or descriptions; import problems; corrupted data; accounting errors; tax consequences; business interruption; lost profits; lost data; financial losses; or other direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages arising from use of, or inability to use, the service.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions or liability limitations. In those jurisdictions, the exclusions and limitations above apply only to the maximum extent permitted by law. These Terms do not exclude rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded.

Third-party services

You are responsible for complying with applicable laws and the terms, requirements, and import rules of any third-party service or software you use, including any accounting software into which you import a generated file.

Availability and changes

The service is free. Its operator may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time. Continued availability is not guaranteed.

These Terms may be updated by posting a revised version on this page. The revised Terms apply from the time they are posted, except where applicable law requires otherwise.

Severability

If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, it will be limited to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining parts will continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
